Kate Moss Could Have Used the Diva Light on Her Wedding Day

Kate Moss may have dropped $1 million dollars on her wedding yesterday to her rockstar boyfriend, Jamie Hince, but unfortunately for her, none of it went to air brushing.  Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of her.  Love her work and her style, but felt horrible when I saw her wedding pictures this morning! They wed at a church in Costwolds and Kate was accompanied by her 15 year old daughter, Lila Grace, and 15 bridesmaids.  Her dress – vintage, off white and body conscious – was controversially designed by John Galliano.  It was very Kate, but unfortunately her 37 years of partying showed on her face.  (Think David Yurman ads for a second.)

I feel like if any other bride no matter what age looked like Kate on their wedding day they'd be thrilled (and should be), but for a supermodel I expected more.  When the diva lights die down and the air brushing is non-existent, the truth sometimes hurts.

Last Giveaway of the Year - Muks Boots

It's Monday and time to get back to the grind!  I hope you all had happy holidays!  To kick off the last week of the year I'm doing one more giveaway.  Perhaps the best one yet.  No matter where you live or what kind of weather you have everyone can go for a pair of these during the winter season – Muks Boots, $275. These boots are to die for!  They're the black studded half muks boots from the Glam Rock Collection, which are a combination of soft suede and rabbit fur with a studded design around the top and on the top edge.  The black wool lining will keep your feet warm and cozy all season long.

In case you're not familiar, Muks are worn by A-listers like Kate Moss, Beyonce and Kate Hudson.  I'm obsessed with them and can't wait to gift a pair to one of my readers!

Best of Beauty at the Met Gala

Tonight's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala brought out fashion's finest to feature the museum's new exhibit, "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity." Kate Moss showed up on the arm of Marc Jacobs, Anna Wintour, Tory Burch, Margherita Missoni, Kate Hudson, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake all walked the red carpet amongst other notables.

Here are a few of BeautySweetSpot's Best of Beauty from the night (and they're all blonde!):

Known for keeping things simple, Claire Danes took it up a few notches tonight and worked the red carpet like never before.  By adding volume to her blowout and smoking out her eye she turned into a sex kitten.  Meow!

Kate Bosworth rocked old school Hollywood glam.  It was an appropriate look for the evening and made her stand out from the rest.

Pulling her hair back off of her face into a sleek updo allowed Blake Lively to show off her fresh face and radiant beauty.  She got it right by highlighting the inner corners of her eyes with white shadow, layering black mascara and adding a pop of color with a fuchsia lip.

Sexy Spring Style: Side Swept Braid

As seen on the Spring/Summer 2010 runways and on some of the hottest celebs, the side swept braid is a simple, yet chic style to sport this spring.  Celeb stylist, Amoy Pitters (who's styled A-lister's like Rihanna), created this look for the runways and gave me the scoop on how to replicate at home.

To create texture apply a volumizing mousse from your roots to the ends.  Blow dry your hair, then use a 1-2" curling iron and create loose waves throughout the crown.  Next, using a comb, sweep the hair to one side and create a braid.  Allow fly-aways for a soft, bohemian-chic look.  Finish with a light holding spray.

This look is perfect for a summer bar-b-que, happy hour or even a date.
