VIDEO: Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Backstage Beauty Report

Yesterday I went backstage before the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which was held at the 69th Regiment Armory in NYC, and got the scoop on the secrets behind the Angel's glowing skin, bombshell waves and scored an interview with high fashion model, Liu Wen. Check out the video interview I did backstage with Lead Makeup Artist, Tom Pecheux, and find out which products he used on the models after the jump!

Here's a shot of the main products used to create the look.  Before applying foundation, Pecheux massaged each of the model's skin with Rodin Face Oil to moisturize and awaken it by stimulating circulation.

Pecheux wanted to create a believable tan complexion and used Victoria's Secret Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder in Glitterati across the models' faces in places where the sun would hit (cheekbones, chin, nose and brow bone).  He then blended Victoria's Secret Luminous Mineral Blush Duo in Starlet into the apples of the cheeks and up into the temples to make the tan look natural.

Inspired by Marilyn Monroe, the eye had a thin line of liquid liner and lashes were real!  Tons of mascara.  To finish, he used Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Lipstick in Wisper with a top coat of Very Sexy Lipgloss in Sublime.

Marc Jacobs Collaborates with Minx

Last week I was on NBC New York Live commenting on the trend of top designers and celebs collaborating with mass retailers to reach new audiences.  Think perhaps one of the most highly anticipated launches of Fall – Missoni for Target.  Then, I saw this.  Marc Jacobs partnered with Minx nails to create a One Night Stand Collection. Obsessed!  There are five different patterns and while they remind me of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips (which you already know I'm obsessed with), they're Minx, which are done in salons too.  Instead of using heat like they do in salons to mold the foil to your nail, you just rub them on and file off  the excess.  The five patterns were taken from the Marc by Marc Jacobs' Fall 2011 collection.

I'm dying to get my hands on them, but they're only being given out to Saks customers on Fashion's Night Out as a gift with purchase.  I definitely think more designers will be collaborating with beauty brands to make more affordable little pieces of luxury.

Teen Choice Awards Trend Report: Sleek 'Do's

The 13th annual Teen Choice Awards were held last night in Los Angeles, CA and while most of the young starlettes including Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and of course Kim and Kourtney Kardashian looked radiant on the blue carpet, I couldn't help but admire the sleek, straight, glossy locks of Ashley Greene, Cameron Diaz and Blake Lively. "Modern, sleek hair is so hot at the moment," exclaims celeb stylist (and the genius behind Ashley Greene's strands) Ted Gibson.

Here's a breakdown on how-to get the look:

1. Spritz a blow drying prep spray like Blow Heat is On Dry Protective Styling Mist onto damp hair and part it exactly where you'd like it to lay.

2. Blow dry with a flat brush, and apply a frizz controlling lotion like Ted Gibson Tame It Shine Lotion from mid-shaft to ends.

3. Flat iron in one to two inch sections all around your head and finish with a light-weight hairspray for a bit of control.
