When it comes to wellness, there’s always something new and trendy popping up. Today, I shared my top skincare, travel, yoga and food picks with Sara Gore and Jacquie Reid of NBC’s New York Live. Check out the segment here!

First and foremost, let’s talk skincare.  With the harsh winter weather we’ve been facing, our skin can become stressed out, which contributes to sensitivity.  Studies show that over 50% of women report they have sensitive skin, but only 11% of facial cleansers are actually made for them.  Olay recently launched a new, dermatologist tested line called Olay Sensitive that includes a Calming Liquid Cleanser and three other products.  The cleanser is great for sensitive skin, because it’s fragrance free, lightweight and is formulated without soap or harsh sulfates remove dirt and toxins.  It also works as a great makeup remover.

Wellness travel is a huge trend right now.  More and more people are booking vacations to focus on their physical and mental health.  Jeannine recently visited YO1 Wellness Center in the Catskills for a weekend of pampering and relaxation.  YO1 is just two hours from NYC and offers holistic Indian healing therapies through Ayurveda, naturopathy and yoga.  Counselors schedule your days with activities and meals that coordinate with your dosha type and goals.  Here’s more on my experience.

When it comes to cooking, meal delivery programs are the way to go.  Hungryroot delivers healthy food to your door weekly that you can combine to make meals in just 10 minutes.  Each order comes with a recipe book to explain how to put meals together and you have the choice of three different size boxes ranging from $69-$129 depending on how many people you’re looking to feed.  It’s the easiest way to eat healthy when you’re strapped for time.

Weighted blankets are the answer to stress reduction.  Many even use them on top of their beds to help them fall asleep quicker.  There’s a new line of weighted blankets by Ravi that are for use in yoga classes.  Available in three sizes, they’re perfect for savasana, but also any time you want to meditate or relax.  They literally calm your nervous system.

CBD is a hot trend in the wellness space and one brand to watch is CBD For Life.  They’re always coming out with innovative products.  Their rubs are great for muscle and joint pain and are made with naturally derived CBD as well as essential oils to help reduce inflammation.  Besides sore muscles, they also help to relieve headaches and cramps.
