Comfort and tranquility took center stage.

Joe and I recently moved uptown in Hoboken and decided it was finally time to get some new furniture and upgrade from our queen to a king sized bed. We wanted our bedroom to be a place of minimalism in order to create a peaceful environment. Here's how we decorated so far.

Keeping the colors clean, we painted the walls Beacon Gray from Benjamin Moore and included soft ivory and white throughout. Our bedding is from West Elm, the Ripple Texture Duvet Cover and shag rug is from Overstock. Since the sunlight pours in, I still want to get a few plants to add color and personality to the space.

We found low profile furniture at CB2 that's simple, yet modern and topped the bed frame with the most popular Casper mattress.
