Let's Talk Hair

because good hair days are the best days!

Since it's National Hair Loss Awareness Month, let's get real about our hair.  Born with extremely fine hair (and not a lot of it), I understand the insecurities that come along with having a sparse coif and often wear tape-in extensions to make my hair appear fuller on TV.  We all have our security blankets, right?  According to the ADA, an estimated 30 million women in the US are affected by hereditary hair loss.  So what do you do if you're finding yourself to be part of this statistic?  I have an answer.

rogaine

To put it simply, start using Women's Rogaine 5% Minoxidil Foam as soon as you notice hair loss (specifically at the top of your head around your part) or thinning.  Even though I knew the brand existed, I personally haven't familiarized myself with it until recently.  While I don’t personally identify with hereditary hair loss,  I was working on a problem/solution beauty segment and when I saw the statistics, I knew it was something I should talk about.  Once I really looked into the science and technology behind the foam, I knew that sharing this information would help others and maybe even you.  Plus, it's the #1 dermatologist recommended brand for hair growth, which adds a ton of credibility.

No other topical treatment on the market that has been proven to grow thicker, fuller hair faster than Rogaine. I'm impressed by their Tricho-Prime technology, which begins treatment by taking care of the scalp.  It consists of alphahydroxy acid, to help aid in exfoliation and botanical extracts to condition.  The 5% minoxidil helps to promote hair regrowth.

The formula sprays out like a lightweight foam.  Once per day, before bed, massage a handful into your scalp. Applying the formula at nighttime keeps your hair follicles active as the rest of your body begins to slow down.  You must be consistent and patient, but you will begin seeing results in anywhere from three to six months.

If you suffer from hereditary hair loss, I hope this post gives you guys hope as a solution to the problem.  As a beauty editor, one of the most rewarding parts of my job is to help women feel more confident and I understand the weight we place on our hair.  If you’ve been using Rogaine, fill me in on your success stories in the comments section below.

Women’s Rogaine 5% Minoxidil Foam can be found at Target for $29.99 for 2-month supply, and $49.99 for 4-month supply.
