clean and effective
One of the biggest trends I've notice throughout the past few years is the merger of the beauty and wellness industries and I couldn't be happier about the shift. It's changed not only the content I cover, but also, just like you, my personal shopping habits. We now care, drastically, about what each ingredient is doing for us in our skincare. I love that part of my job is to help you cut through that clutter, which is why I wanted to introduce you to ShortList, a new skincare brand that landed on my desk and is now part of my regimen.
Less is more is their motto and by less, they mean zero fillers. You won't find any parabens, sulfates, phthalates, colorants, fragrances or mineral oils here. The collection consists of a serum and moisturizer that contain niacinamide (to strengthen the moisture barrier), retinyl propionate (to address signs of aging) and hyaluronic acid (to add moisture and plump you skin). Each ingredient has a real purpose for being there.
When first introduced to this line, I found it incredibly interesting and respected the fact that even though it's not natural, it's super clean. I've dabbled in all different types of skincare and if you look in my vanity, you'll find a combination of 100% natural products and skincare laced with the best anti-aging ingredients I could find. I truly believe that skincare is a personal choice and in the end of the day, it's all about efficacy.
The ShortList serum and moisturizer offer short and long term results, which is great, because if you're anything like me, you're always seeking immediate gratification. Short term, the serum repairs dry and damaged skin, and long term, it energizes skin cells so that they act younger. The moisturizer rejuvenates your skin by promoting cellular turnover and overtime, helps to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
The two-step system is designed to work together in order to make your life easier and your skin look healthier.
