When it comes to 100% natural beauty buys, I flirt with them, but as a cult follower of certain beauty brands, (SkinCeuticals, Oribe and Urban Decay to name a few), I cannot bring myself to fully switch over. I understand the benefits of using chemicals on my skin just like I appreciate the au naturel route. Personally, if I have a good experience with a product and it works, it lands on my vanity and often times shows up in my work, which brings me to this unexpected new love for 100% natural deodorant. That's right, I found one that works.
As a fan of Secret Clinical Strength, I never thought I'd be able to wear natural deodorant. To go from a chemical packed super-gel to moisturizing balm made of certified organic ingredients didn't look like it was in the cards for me, or at least for my body chemistry, but I was proved wrong.
I wasn't even planning on testing out this deodorant, but I ran out of my Secret and went straight to my beauty closet. There stood the only deodorant I had – Meow Meow Tweet Tweet Deodorant Stick. (Yes, love the name.) I showered before barre class in the morning (a few pulses never make me sweat) and ventured into the city for a new skincare launch event. It was only as I came home and sat at my computer that I realized the deodorant has been working.
The creamy formula is in a package like a push-up pop and feels pampering on my skin. Made of ingredients like sunflower seed oil, candelilla wax, shea butter, eucalyptus, magnesium and baking soda, it's surprisingly gentle and effective.
