Lately, I've had a lot of people and some clients complain about bloating. Potentially the most uncomfortable feeling in the world! Thanks to them, I was inspired to give you an idea of the types of foods that cause bloating and a peak at what your diet should look like to help reduce it.
Foods that Cause Bloating
- sugar
- trans fat
- dairy
- alcohol
- carbonated beverages
- gluten
- some seasonings
- some veggies like broccoli and cauliflower
Bloat Free Diet
- Lots of fruits and vegetables (other than broccoli and cauliflower)
- Healthy unsaturated fats, with limited use of saturated and NO trans fats
- Omega-3 fatty acids from fish or fish oils supplements
- Nuts
- Whole grains
- Lean protein like chicken, turkey and fish
- Limited intake of red meat, deli meat, and full fat dairy foods
- No refined carbs
- No processed foods
- Spices such as chili peppers, turmeric, cinnamon
