Strengthening, lengthening and toning is always a goal, but I’ve never been on a reformer machine. Leave it to my BFF to encourage me not only to try it, but to test it out during a class at SLT, Manhattan’s elite megaformer studio.
As someone who works out five days per week, I thought I had a chance at conquering the reformer or at least being good at it, but let me tell you, this class owned me. There were several times I actually laid belly flopped on the machine, because I just couldn’t. It’s not that I didn’t have the stamina, but I wasn’t strong enough. I looked around to see incredibly fit women (including my BFF) dominating. Would I do it again? Absolutely. I’d try!
