Behind the Scenes: John Frieda Beach Blonde Party

One part of my job that I love is taking you behind the scenes into the beauty industry so as a new feature, I'm brining the camera with me to some of the hottest events I attend. Want to see what it's really like to be a beauty influencer? Tune into BeautySweetSpot TV.  First up, John Frieda's Beach Blonde launch party with Lauren Conrad, Lo Bosworth, AnnaSophia Robb and more.

How to Plump & Firm Your Face Sans Injections

A platform for the beauty obsessed, plus an invite

Like me, I know you're pretty obsessed with Pinterest and Instagram.  I've found that pinning wedding dress details I adored before looking for a dress made shopping very easy and the Instagram filter Valencia never fails to deliver flawless skin.  Recently, I discovered a new platform for the beauty obsessed that I can't get enough of that I have to share – Coterie.  It's the world's first virtual vanity (I know, so cool).

You can build a vanity (see mine here) full of your favorite beauty products and give descriptions with reasons why you love them.  It's a great way for others to discover what you use and why and for you to discover what your favorite makeup artist recommend and friends are using.  Plus, you can shop right off the site.

Tomorrow, from 7-8pm EST., I'm going to be hosting a live twitter chat from Coterie's launch party in NYC. You can join in to talk about the beauty products you love, your vanity and meet the editors and makeup artists from the event to learn about their pics.  RSVP here and it'll tell you how to sign in.

I'm also hosting a Twitter chat at the same time from @BeautySweetSpot in conjunction with @CoterieInc.  A giveaway is in order!  Tune in tomorrow for details.

Hope to chat later!

How to Have the Best Night Ever in Las Vegas

Allow me to share with you my favorite hosting gig yet, part two of my "Best Night Ever" series with StyleCaster, sponsored by Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy.  After exploring how to have the best night ever in NYC, the StyleCaster team and I jetseted to Vegas and explored their newest club, 1 Oak at the Mirage.  Check out the video.  If not for me, for the hottie "VIP Doorman" I interviewed... "You're just a stupid doorman!  Doorman."  Knocked Up anyone?  I couldn't help myself. Check out the video and make sure to share your #BestNightEver with me  (@beautysweetspot), @StyleCaster, and @clearhair on Twitter!

Performing A Red Carpet Worthy Makeover, Beauty Tips for A Special Occasion

Two months ago I partnered with Clearasil for prom season offering a red carpet makeover to a contest winner (see post). Well, the winner was chosen and the makeover was a blast! Check out the video of the makeover in action. I had a great time working with the Clearasil team on this project and working with makeover candidate, Amanda.

How to Prep for the Best Night Ever with StyleCaster... It Includes Braids!

I already showed you how to have the best night ever with StyleCaster, but here's a tip on how to prep for the best night ever. This one's super true to who I am because for me, if I go out without feeling 100% myself, I know my night will be off. I'm sure you understand. Having the best night ever has a lot to do with looking and feeling your best. I rely on blowouts and braid bars to make sure my hair always looks fab. Check out the video!

Video: Behind the Scenes Fashion Week Prep with Duckie Brown

Before a fashion show designers have a ton of prep work to do, but most of it gets done just a few days before the big event. A week before the Duckie Brown show I went to a model fitting (lucky me!) and followed the designers, Steven Cox and Daniel Silver, every step leading up to their Spring 2011 runway show. Check out the behind the scenes video I did on behalf of Conair after the jump!

Forever 21 Walk on Water Fashion Show

Last night's Forever 21 Walk on Water Fashion Show was a great success!  It celebrated the launch of the new series To Be A Star and the grand opening of Forever 21's new Times Square Location.  I was honored to host the event with my good friend, Kimmie Smith, Editor-In-Chief of Kitten Lounge.  Thank you to all my family, friends and fans who came out to support! Even though I've done on-air work, this was my first time hosting a live event and I loved it!  My right hand man, Naomi Porto, did my hair and makeup prior to run through using DEX New York cosmetics and my outfit came together in a matter of hours.

I was feeling very boho-chic in my raspberry dress courtesy of Apart Style.  Kimmie layered me in python Ted Rossi bangles and once I stepped into Vince Camuto cut-out wedges I was ready to grab the mic.

The turn out was incredible and show was a great success.  I'm looking forward to many more fun gigs!
