John Frieda Broadens Frizz Ease Serum Collection

A good hair day sets the tone for the day, which is precisely why I have blowouts booked every Saturday and Sunday morning throughout April in case one of those days is my surprise bridal shower.  Obvi, I don't want to risk it as I'm not very savvy with a round brush.  Remember when John Frieda first came out with Frizz Ease and it saved your life? Well, now they have new forms of the genius frizz tamer that'll help you have a good hair day, everyday.

With the proper use of the right products, good hair days aren't hard to come by as long as you know how to blow out your hair.  The two new additions are – Expert Finish for dry hair and Extra Strength that has added proteins in it for weak or damaged hair.  When using, remember a little bit goes a long way and apply a dollop onto damp hair.

They also began a campaign called "Never Pull Back."  Think beyond the ponytail... a bad hair days as we know, can set you back in life!  Also, check out this clever video.  I didn't get it at first, but the end made me say "Ahhh!"

Beat Frizz All Winter Long

Hate me for saying this, but my hair never gets frizzy.  Static?  Yes.  Frizz?  Never.   Maybe because it's so super fine and straight and never does anything!  However, I know many of you battle with frizz especially during the wintertime so I spoke with Herbal Essences Celebrity Stylist, Charles Baker Strahan to find out what causes frizz and how to prevent it all season long. Truth is, the fix is simple. "Cold weather and artificial heat can cause the hair to become dry and more likely to frizz and create static," states Strahan.  This is easier to control if your hair is healthy to begin with, but if it's dry or damaged, you have some work to do as dry hair tries to pull moisture from the air to compensate for what it's lacking.

To combat frizz and static all season long you need to make sure your hair is full of moisture. "This is important for all hair types as people with fine to medium hair often overlook hydration," Strahan comments.  He recommends to begin in the shower using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner that won't weigh your hair down like Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner and then following with a light-weight leave in conditioner daily.  "Just a little bit goes a long way."
